This site was built in base php with a MySQL database. The repsonsive design uses customized bootstrap css while the product and store locator information is stored on a MySQL database. Most photography was suppied by an agency and the rest was taken by me. The responsive scrolling background images for the categories are expandable to include more information as needed.
Built on the Shopify framework, this site was my first attempt at building a custom template using the {.liquid} language. A customized module was installed for ordering reporting.
Most of the work on this site was the custom style sheets. Everything from image sizing, text formatting, form styles, and mobile-response had to be customized.
I did all photography work. The product shots were taken in a lightbox and labeling was added post. Staged beauty shots were taken in my dining room using natural light as well as a backdrop light reflector.

Technology in the UX realm is constantly advancing. CSS alone has become so robust, it's impossible to think about designing anything aesthetically pleasing without it. These days I spend far more time on stylesheets than writing code or manipulating javascript. Below are samples of some older websites that either no longer exist, have been redesigned, or are no longer maintained. However they're still part of my work history.
